Required on trailers over 1.3 meters wide.I find the forward facing marker lights on mine a pain, even though they aren't bright, they keep catching my eye and making it difficult to see vehicles lurking behind them. I don't even know why you have to have them.
Sideways facing, I would understand, although that is covered by the reflectors.

Now I'm not sure about triangular reflectors, some have a white surround and I cant remember why, I think it may be the length of trailer ????
