Need to fish out the paperwork to find out what to set tappets to on the big machine. Not even sure they will be in it.

W and I have had some sort of mix up, wot with her not being in the same country and all.
She told me that dottir brought her a letter from our place there, so I messaged her asking her to open it. Yessdi. Thinking it would be a new debit card.
Well she didn't.
So she did today and discovered it was in fact a credit card bill on a card we don't usually use over here. (Bought summat from Amazon. )

Due payment date? Yessdi.

Took a spin in the Mini, no further instances of "front-firing" (so far) since I changed the dashpot oil to 30W.
Too soon to declare it "fixed", but I think we are getting there or thereabouts.

I find the forward facing marker lights on mine a pain, even though they aren't bright, they keep catching my eye and making it difficult to see vehicles lurking behind them. I don't even know why you have to have them.
Sideways facing, I would understand, although that is covered by the reflectors.

I have just harvested yet more "haricots verts".
We have so many, (and W doesn't eat them) that I think I am going to try and make them into soup.
Maybe do the same with the beef toms which are suge!

Got a strange experience when I first drove my tratter. At night I can see the car behind and its headlights, looking like the car is coming straight at me from the front. All due to reflections from the vertical rear window reflecting off the vertical front screen. Soon got used to it and don't notice it so much after a while.

Lights on trailers is a simple reg requirement as to what and how many due to length/width, am sure some manufacturers will add more.

I actually like the rear marker stalks on our big trailer, which has markers on the side and the front none of which can be seen in the mirrors, except the stalks.
The big horse box doesnt have the stalks the one before (smaller but newer) had stalks.

Towing or reversing in the dark I like to see where the end of the trailer is, and even if its still there .

Dont have issues seeing real cars behind, I guess its something "you" get used too.

Seems the "mudball" is in a bit of a huff, As I havent driven it for ............ a while. It has decided to let some air out the bottom of 1 of its tyres, why do they never let it out the top cos you could at least drive it only being flat on top.
May give it some TLC tommorow as I have run out of white paint, and masked up the doors and windows today, M is off to town tomorrow so will have a few hours twiddling me fumbs.

I may just have a swim to save fumb twiddling.

I am truly astounded that you have not accompanied 'wifey' back to the UK for her operation.

Just cleared a small job on me tratter to do list. About a year ago I couldn't get the nut undone on the battery negative terminal clamp. It's a bolt with a conical spacer set vertically through the terminal, so tight it was at risk of damaging the terminal post by applying lots of muscle to get it moving. Any road up, got me digit out and held the clamp with a big adjustable spanner while turning the nut with another spanner. Job done, and done up not so tight this time.
