Accoding to t'news, they are about to open a new one somewhere, or start building it, or summat.

Need to research it a bit more.

We are lucky in that Bournemouth Water (as was, now bought up) keeps finding new ways to store water so we don't get hoespipe bans and are encouraged to use as much as we like, (to line their pockets of course, and incidentally Wessex who do our sewage.)
Public out cry will help. But water companies have know fer years how difficult it is to get planning permission to pass. Hence why their desire to build a new res, wurnt apempted. Its quite damaging to the environment assit wipes it all out when the line it and fillit.

That suggests they dunt fix any. They is always fixing them. Finding them is the difficult bit. Easy on the surface if water appears and someone reports it. More difficult if the leak stays under ground.
Peeps on my local "Nextdoor" are always reporting leaks and often nothing gets done at all. A lot of our area is not supplied by Bournemuff Water.

Mines easy to do. Call them or report it online. Gorra get the right company responsible for the location. There will be priority fer wot reports come in. Ours gives feedback if they find it or call to ask fer more info if they can't.

The big problem is the people accepting it. But they think It shounldnt be on thier doorstep.

We need more water, or you stop using it, if you have none that would change (your personal enviroment alot). But people will object to a resivour which brings in a whole new enviorment by itself. Which arent bad.

They object to wind/solar farms but also about Nucler, then complain about the cost of it 🤔.

I am not saying the farmland should be given over to solar, but there are other ways, which would stop the big companies from seeing it as an easy cash cow, and the farmers not having to battle againgst profit margins.

People need to think what it would be like to live without water out of their tap. or a light when they switch the switch for a few days.
Before they start complaining. But no thats not the modern way:rolleyes:.

All good and MOTed the tester said its a pleasure to work on such a well built car , he commented that he failed 2 FLs last week due to rust and bits falling of I nearly choked for laughter 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I understand threads on Knock on stub axles, and other applications.

You missed the whole point of my quote about "wheels going in opposite directions" :D you better edit that quick before Kev gets hold of it:oops:.

Solved the problem, drive in reverse all the time 😂😂

very good for the environment no life with out water sit and observe, wild life increases 10 fold ,most planning laws now are very limited, you can extend your home without planning consent! !

Fink I'd better get changed and go "doon the toon" to buy some "Caillés".
Producers' market on tonight but I don't fancy it on my own, although I may change my mind and stay depending on who I see there.
Anyway we/I have large amounts of haricots verts that will not eat themselves!!!
and a nice "collier d'agneau" to go with.
Yum Yum!!

(Might need some "essence" as well, "sans plomb" natch!
Have a good evening folks!
:):):)

Did you know? (and not a lot of people know this) that Stirling Moss's dad wouldn't let him drive a car around the estate until he could do it in reverse.

Fun factoid, I am full of it them tonight!!🤣🤣🤣

It depends on which way you are looking at the pulley when you describe its turning direction.
Sorry Stan this makes no sense to me at all. With a CW or RH thread, if the thing it holds in p!ace is turning in the 'tighter' direction how can the opposite work? Hence LH threads on NS axles..
Or not, as your numpty mate found out..

Edit. Unless it's braking or deceleration that is the issue..
Though brakes work on the hub and not the wheel. Am now thoroughly fuddled.
Anyway, lots of loctite will be involved when the new pulley arrives..

I thort "doon the toon" was going to be quiet but I fell in with a crowd of very interesting folk, to the point that I had to shoot off to get up here to make a WhatsApp call to a mate, who, it turned out, had completely forgottid about it!
Still fun was had.
He and his wife are moving after 14 yrs in a rented house in Cherbourg to a rented flat in the centre of town. I asked them what they were going to do about the tortoise which had been given to his wife when she was a girl donkeys years ago.
It turns out they had to declare the animal to the powers that be as it was not seen as being a pet like a cat or a dog, tthey sent inspectors out to check its food, its environment etc etc etc. Flipping mad. So long story short it will be going to their son in Grenoble, they think.

They have so much stuff accumulated that they are giving away tons. They offered us a really nice old dresser, but I walked around the house with the camera on my phone showing them that we had nowhere to put it. The noo place has the same square metereage of room as their old house, but..... they don't want all the stuff.

This is the reason why peeps should always buy a place even when they don't need to!!!

I don't know if I'll be able to explain it to you in my present state of wine induced affluence of incohol!!

Imagine you have a thing, like a pulley wheel, or an adaptor for a splined wire wheel, which is going to be turning anti-clockwise as you look at it. If you then have to secure the pulley, or splined wheel, with a clockwise threaded nut, that should be OK, as the anti-clockwise motion of the thing goes against the tightening of the clockwise threaded nut so it tightens it if anything as it goes along.
Hence on a nearside wheel, where when the wheel is going down the road, it turns anticlockwise as you look at it, the clockwise done up nut is being tightened as it goes along. So no, the NS axles do not have LH threads, they have RH threads.
So vice versa on the other sid of the car.

Planning for a 50 acer reservoir is a bit different to permitted development and putting a plastic green house on the back ov yer castle. A new reservoir pushes wildlife out the way and destroys the abby tat permanently. Tis not naturally there.
