I have fixed 2 minor faults on the Mini today. :)
L-Turn tell-tale on the dash was not working. Took the whole cluster out and checked the bulb which was OK.
I cleaned the copper track and tweaked the bulb-holder spring contacts and it all worked.
I did lose 2 of the fixing screws in the process though as they fell off the driver and on the parcel-shelf panel and rolled away to god-knows-where. :(
The horn had stopped working (was always a bit naff) and so I checked the wiring and concluded it was ok. Measured the horn and it was open-circuit. A cheap plastic thing from China. :( I rummaged in one of my sheds in some storage crates and pulled out a BNIB cheap metal horn from China, put it on and all is good. Legal again. :D

I will reward myself with a little cruise around the town I think. :D

So, managed to photograph it, so here tis, help with what is in the two boxes would be very appreciated
Tia.
P means "power" in French which for us would also be positive, N = neutral, pretty obvious.

I would also add that the switch makes the connection (would agree bimetalic switch) to P & N but the load, your floor element maybe off terminals 5&6.

Who knows what goes on behind?

Today I took W to the airport for her first trip to Blighty. Got there in plenty of time. Got back 45 mins later so at about 13:30.
She was still in the airport at 1600hrs.
Flipping Ryan hair.
She said apparently the plane never fully left Bournemuff.
We, well the dogs and I are now in a thunderstorm, internet box switched off. Chucking it down. πŸ™

Hope W gets out. If you have now turned off your coms link.

Gorra 1.5L plastic bottle ov water int freezer to make me drinks. Never leave it in long enuff to freeze. Just go cold and form a bit ov ice round the inside. When cold it goes int fridge.

Tis quiet outside. Good to see peeps taking up the heatwave warning. Staying int doors out the direct sun light. Not hurd many cars go past. Burds staying in shade anorl. Put some nuts out for their tea.

When there are thunderstorm s they can blow the Sosh box and even blow our phones, this has happened in the past. So we disconnect it. But we can still use mobiles,so we do. Dottir tells me she is off the plane and OK. I suspect she has flattened the batt on her phone listening to stories on it out of boredom!!!

In this weather we,like many round here always have a biggish bottle of tap water in the fridge. It helps that our tap water tastes good. No need to freeze it unless you intend going on a trip or summat.
