Hi All.....

First post apart form the introduction post so please be gentle....!!

just got a 95 4.6 hse a few days ago...!! has a few niggles but nothing serious... i think..?

passenger window was a little rattly so i took the door card off to see what was the problem....found that the lower window rubber had fallen away... easy fix... but while taking off the door card i noticed the the tweeter and mid range speakers had been disconnected...? so when refitting the door card i reconnected the speakers.... before fully fitting everything back together i thought i'd better turn the radio on to make sure everything worked..... ignition on but engine not running..... turn radio on and there is a loud buzzing coming from the reconnected tweeter and mid range speaker....???? dosnt matter if the volume is up or down...still buzzes
the bass speaker in the door is fine...?

any ideas...

Funny but that is exactly the process that I followed to find out that the tweeter in my passenger side door was buzzing. I just left it disconnected and moved on to the next snag on my list. I wasn't looking for a buzzing tweeter to start with.....

The amp is in the door, it's the back box thing with a big White multi plug in it. Says AMR something numbers...blah blah.

ok.... swapped amp from the drivers door (no buzzing)to the passenger door where this buzzing is coming from and it still buzzes.....?

bugger.....!!!

ok...now swapped front door amps and speakers....no difference....???

so i've now proved amps and speakers are good.....

now what....?

next thing i might do is get ohm meter on the wiring between the head and door amps....see if there's a dogey cable somewhere i cant see....!!!

swapped out the original radio cassette yesterday for an aftermarket unit and the buzzing is still there....? so i presume it's gotta be the wiring....?
