hi peeps, this is my first post and wondered if anyone can help. i bought a disco 2 2 weeks ago, 2 owners 11400 miles full service history all the mots nice vehicle. couple of problems when i picked it up the garage told me the battery was a bit naff but should be ok on a run, 3 warning lights on the dash but should clear as they wernt there when it was last driven.

the 3 lights are srs and 2 pics of the vehicle suspension 1 showing vertical arrows to the rear suspension and the other showing similar. bought a new battery charged it up and then i have 2 more which i didnt have after driving it back from the garage 150 miles away, the 2 new lights are abs and to the left of the dash theres a round symbol which looks like hand brake applied. also should state that the air suspension has been replaced with springs and dampers. can anyone help. thank you guys/gals

Hi Mike it sounds like you have "The Three Amigos" - do a search on here, very common problem.

Take it back to the garage asap and leave it with them till its all sorted.

PS - make sure if you decide to keep it, the garage dont just blank off the warning lights.
 
thanks guys, that was quick. i will do a search on here thanks, cant take it back as i traded a honda civic in and that has now sold , love my disco though

You can take it back regardless of whether your trade in has been sold or not!
Failing that you may wish to get yourself a Credit Card, as it sounds like you are going to need a line of credit, to get the Disco roadworthy.
Incidentally when was the MOT carried out?

see the attachment and point exactly to the number of warnings you have there cos something seems strange to me in your description

nothing from 30 and 26 tried it twice, just got the ones listed plus oil battery glow plug e,t,c,. i didnt start the engine though is that right ?
 
one problem is certainly the 3 amigos which the easyest way to sort is by plugging into a tester to see the fault code...and if you get to a tester set the suspension to coils cos i'm affraid it's set to air and maybe only the TC and SLS warning lights are disabled....you need to find somebody with nanocom for that
 
i had it pluged in yesterday at a mot station, they said the abs wasnt a fault but couldnt clear the faults, just noticed now i have no brake lights
 
i presume they didnt have the proper tester...possibly you have a "brake lamp/HDC relay" fault which relay is integrated in the interior fusebox...and that might cause the other warning lights too....you have a PM
