No use in knocking if no one is home;)

fail.

Like I said.....

Car forums across the entire internet are full of threads like this...

"Halp, my car iz makin a funny noiz, LOL"

and then there are three pages of replies....

"Wheel bearings"
"tyre wear"
"big end knocking"
"sunroof seal is loose"
"deffo wheel bearings, same thing happened to my dads brother in law's drinking buddys Hillman Husky"
"exzorst is rubbing"

It is simply not possible for us to help you unless you help us (and yourself) first.
Front or rear? you havent even cleared that up yet.
What sort of noise? metallic grating? plastic chaffing? whirring? thumping? knocking?
Are the wheels in good condition? not buckled or egged? are the tyres ok? no bulges or splits? even wear?
Are they fitted properly? mating faces clean? Seated square on the hub? nuts torqued properly?
Is something touching the wheel? plastic wheel arch liner? caliper? flexi hose? abs wiring?
Are the wheels touching the suspension strut?
Does the rubbing happen at all speeds? straight lines? turning corners?

A rubbing noise happening when you fit a wheel, that goes away when you put the originals back on should take anyone with a pair of functioning eyeballs 30 seconds to diagnose. If you cant, then at least tell us what we need to diagnose it for you as I cant quite seem to see your car from where I am sitting.
