"are you sure your glow plugs are working, your engine will simply not start without them,"
Ridiculous, diesel engines work on compression for the ignition of the fuel. The glow plugs are to heat the diesel to thin it down to aid starting when particulary cold - the more viscous the diesel the harder it is to compress to ignite. Any diesel should start, any time, without the aid of glow plugs at around 3 degrees and above.

NO this engine won't reliably start without them at this time of the year even more so with the veg oil in her tank... To thin it down? REALLY? I would check that one... they are there to help vaporise the fine mist of diesel sprayed into the cylinder or in the case of the 2.5 the combustion chamber. If the plug is hot enough, when the diesel is injected the heat from the plug alone is sometimes enough to ignite the diesel.
so after all this did the blonde girl get it started ?
Did yer try easy start to get it going???
aye keep yer can of ether in the house, it dunt like the cold its self, it will start every time ewith a little squirt, be careful tho, like tek 5 says, its like crack cocaine to an injin,
