Here is the pic of the engine. But I need to know if a Defender being registered on the 1 August 1990 is meant to have or not meant to have a 200TDi. The pic maybe a 200TDi, but if this Defender is not meant to have it, it means I can't buy it because I'm only 23 and the insurance on an engine conversion is huge.
Thanks
Here's the link
1990 LAND ROVER 90 4C SW DT DIESEL BLUE on eBay (end time 12-Apr-10 14:30:32 BST)
So it is a 200TDi, but is it meant to have one being registered on 1st Aug
I agree.... Commercial side panels and CSW roof?.... AND, it has a radio and fitted speakers! 300tdi steering wheel.... almost as if a 1997 300tdi has been stripped and put on a 200tdi chassis.something don't ring true
wrong engine for year (but it's a tidy upgrade if it's right) - wrong steering wheel - cabin looks way too clean, as does the rear load space - door cards and seats look brand new
rings alarm bells to me - but the owner might have spent a fortune on it
be careful
