Hi All,
I"ve just taken out the carpet in the boot of my 2001 TD4. I did this to get access to the top of the subframe bolt. What I found instead was the foam/sponge stuff underneath the carpet was running with water. The carpet has always felt dry and I couldn"t understand why the inside of the car gets so much condensation, but now I know. Obviously, well I say obviously but I"m hoping one of you Freelander owners who have experienced the same thing will tell me where the water is coming in, I think it"s through the door seal! Am I right? Are there any other places where water is known to get in?
Now I can get back to checking that subframe bolt, except it"s bloody freezing working on the car outdoors.
Cheers all.
