hi all, i recently fitted a new fuel filter on my 300tdi and cleaned the sedimenter and fitted a new fuel pump ever since doing this it wont start or run properly it couchs,farts then die,s but if i bleed it. it will run fine for a while any thoughts please because its giving me a headache :doh:

There's air getting in somewhere.
Check all the connections on everything you disturbed.

deffinately air I did mine recently and it was the inlet side on the fuel pump , thought it was tight but it wasnt tight enough .good luck.

MANY THANKS gents i found a pipe that was,nt tightened up properly :doh: just given her a test run and she,s back to her old self again :clap2:

If anyone gets this problem in future, a good way of spotting the air leak is to spray some WD40 over the unions, and it should be apparent where the air leak is.
