Hi all. I've borrowed my old mans disco 2 on x plate and at 2500 or so revs it either miss fires or fuel shortage and juders big time. Has any one experienced this and if so what's the best solution please

Fuel shortage I'd say, fuel pump or FPR. Could be an injector problem as well.

Do a search on google of wastegate modulator bypass.

First port of call for misfire on the Td5 should be to check if the ECU is suffering from oil contamination from failed injector harness. It is probably the no. 1 problem on Td5. Take the red plug of the ECU and see if there is engine oil in there. Quick search on here will give multiple threads on it. You can't really check for other problems until you have ruled this out.

Would any faults show if I plugged it into a fault code reader
