I have sprung a leak and am going down!


I have a 300tdi which I have had for just over 1 week, she has been very badly treated and abused and I am slowly trying to put her right, I have noticed a 'hissing noise' initialy just after cutting the engine but could not locate it.

yesterday i did some work and noticed that it had now sprung a leak (a very small drip) from the forward side of the fuel pump. Any ideas? and how easy is it to strip and rebuild?

probably front seal gone, think they can be replaced without stripping the pump down.
