Hi,
Seen several of these tents fitted to all sorts of vehicles.
Mostly the keen camping nations - NL, B, DK, S, N, and D of course.
Quite popular on the run to Greece.
More anti-snake and creepy-crawly than anti-lion, I would think, although there was a Freelander Serengeti of course.
Very handy for overnight stops in motorway service areas where it's a bit difficult hammering pegs into the asphalt. Ho ho.
Only UK service areas charge for overnight parking - other countries encourage it - the farther south you go the more trailer tents and caravans you see overnighting.
Northern Europeans are seen in
huge numbers heading for the sun in caravans and campers come June July and August. Whole convoys of friends travelling together.
Not many Brits though - my kids play 'Spot the British numberplate' when on the Autobahn - but they soon get bored as there almost aren't any past Luxembourg.
Singvogel.
