pulls like a train.it will take off in 3rd.

conversion plate made up.it goes into 5th gear at 80mph then fooks off down the road.

its really quite dangerous TBH.

on a lighter note at steady speed and a very light foot im getting 34mpg even with half a load.

130 PS (95.6 kW; 128.2 bhp) @ 3500 RPM
30 kg·m (294 N·m; 217 lb·ft) @ 2000 RPM

Nissan Atlas (H40) 1986-1991

ive opend up the air a bit and cleaned it.it really goes like **** off a shovel.

put that on the santana box in a 90 and say bye bye to your pants.im tempted as ive a 90 here.

its 3.5 litre for a start.

it really is so sublime to drive. The 300tdi in a 130 tip is ok but they get spat out alot and eat clutches reversing the chipper.

the nissan will shove a 3 ton loaded trailer in reverse with very little clutch.the 300tdi requires low box to do that.

haveing used both now in a 130 its the FD every time.it just suits the wagon better.low down torque etc.i find also to keep the 300tdi moveing along there is alot of gears.the nissan drives like an auto.select gear and drive on.no need to change down for hills.

never heard of that conversion before googled it and it seemed to be common a few yaer ago, always fancied one o them gmc v8 doozles think there around 200 hp

Constant cranking will cause the wires from the battery to get fookin hot, enough to burn ya if ya keep hold of the positive cable.

I remember on my 19J the passenger seat used to get warm from constant cranking

Well I had to buy a new charger as I have left my other one in the house of horrors.

So, put the battery on at 4pm to trickle charge overnight as i know its flat...and been in the tub of the 90 for 3 months rolling about...started charging at 2.5ah or thereabouts...looked at it 2 hours later and its bubbling away but the charger is showing that its down to 0ah output...confused...surely it cant charge that quick!!!

no

i got an airlock.had to bleed the pipes at the injectors.normally it pumps up yes.

reckon i sucked thru some ****e too.had to clean lines out.:mad:

Bob forgot to mention he'd run out of fuel at this point and had to spend half the morning biking to the petrol station and back with a 20l jerry can on his back.....it was an entertaining sight! my poor rangies clutch didnt find towing the 130 too much fun though :(

Update. (cos i know you like 'em)

Finally stopped snowing so I crawled out of my pit to put the possibly cooked battery on..started off the key, 1st time, no pre-warm...Result!

So i've put the other battery on charge now to carry with me. Looks like i've been lucky and it was a tired battery problem. Starter and wiring working well.

I think i've been a bit surprised by the harsh winter we've had here, regularly -15, occasionally more than -20. Very rare the last 3 months that the temp has been above freezing so i guess the battery has taken a bashing every day at start up.

Theres not a lot of protection in a landy battery box, and the air can come in loads of places, so i'd imagine with the wind chill that battery has been exposed to minus 50 or 60 degrees on a 45 mile run to work...no surprise its not been performing to its max.

Will keep a better eye on it for the rest of the winter...hopefully weather will start improving in the next few weeks!
