honest its a new piezo injector, if you have a v6 o V8 audi its gonna get expensive.
unlike old injectors they can fail open and hydraulic lock the engine, hence the ecu shuts its down as soon as it think there a fault. people have been in the 3 rd lane of the motoway and the car just shuts down.
no brakes, no power steering etc. its frightening
 
sorry thats the garage near me telling you that you need new discs and pads when thry dont look and just tell you you need them. robbing gits

I do believe you - I'm just disappointed that the cost of a new injector must be far, far more than what's charged to the manufacturer.

Lowbank, sounds like a ripe target for a Trading Standards sting. It would serve them right, as they're ripping off punters and giving garages a bad name.
 
I agree, dont know why anyone would buy a VW now.
your right just live too close to them if they found out who grassed on them.
I have decided to go back yo cars I can work on.
Got my TD4 and got a spare engine for 120 quid including all ancilleries.
Just need one for the other half to replace the MGTF in winter, keep thr tf for summer
