I have 1990 3 Door disco, it has front electric windows however my drivers side one today has decided no longer to work, which means to egt in and out of work i have to stop the car get out and press the buzzer for the gate and re-enter the car.
Anyway when i press the switch i hear no noise or motors attempting to even start. The passenger side works fine and assuming they work on the same fuse that is ruled out, so switch or motor? whats the easiest way to test this and find the cause and whats the prices like for these parts?

use a multimeter and check that current is getting to the motor, if it is its ur motor. if not try continuity on the switch and then continuity thru the wires. Im not sure bout the single fuse for all tho so that might still be an option.

Bollocks to that.
If the passenger side works, take the switches out, swap them round then go from there.
If switch is working ok, then do all that eleccy fiddly diddly stuff mentioned above.

The easy option sounds like a first. after that well i suppose i will have to pee around with the multimeter.
