unless yer do a lot of heavy towin in a hot climate, yer dunt need a fan at all.

I do tow allot hence the fan

I have a kenlow on mine set to come on a bit above normal, it tends to come on after a run for a bit and when I'm off road usually loaded, and it keeps it safe when I'm cutting up trees off road since I leave it running in case it dunt start again.

I stuck it behind the grille, the mechanical fan was fooked on mine but it sprayed water and **** all over my engine, so I dunt miss it.

Been toying with the idea of gettin one of these as i only have a manual switch in the cab but £40 seems a bit exxy. Isn't there some sort of sensor you can get that screws into the rad?

Thers loads of those on fleabay for other motors and they are only about a tenner. I notice there's a plastic bung(?) in the top of the rad that screws into a threaded hole, so might be able to put somethin in tehre. Anyone ever tried it?

I have two Saab fans in mine, have a look in my photo album and you will see them.

I have a double core police/mil spec radiator which had a switch mount on it, I also have (although not reconnected since my bulkhead change) an override switch.

If I am going to knowingly walk away from it with the engine running I switch it on so it doesn't get hot enough in the first place (leaks more oil when its hot!).

Just had another look and the plstic bung thing is at the left hand end on top of the rad (12J engine). Looks like 1/2" BSP maybe? If this is standard might be able to get ford one or sumfin to fit?
