Hi, I've recently bought a P38a and am considering putting it on springs.
Should I is the first question, and if I did, do I put just springs or shocks as well

Do you folks have any comments please. ( and a contact for good quality and priced supply)

Cheers

You have just without knowing it said, "Give me a good slating". Hope you are not too easily upset. :D

If your profile is correct you have a Vogue 50.....& you want to totally ruin it! No wonder you get plenty of stick.

If he is any good at fabrication and welding he could make up some series one bracketry and fit leaf springs. I mean why just ruin it a bit, go the whole hog. :D:D

:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughiAnd fit an old series petrol engine for good measure:rolleyes:

Yes it is a vogue 50. I want to make sure the bills don't stack up too much or the missus will make me look at buying jap crap.

It will cost you more to degrade it with coils then to overhaul the EAS. I can supply the cable and diagnostics for not a lot.:)

If your worried about bills stacking up you have the wrong car. Jap crap is your destiny.
Sell the Vogue 50 to someone who will care & maintain it.
PS, sorting out the EAS should be cheaper than converting to coils.

Thanks, but I've got the diag cable and software for it. Just have to talk me mate who is a land rover tech into looking further into it. It's a bit slow at rising from cold, and goes into high or access mode when turned off. Has a little lean to the OS, which I'm told is cos I'm a fat t*at

First - sounds like it could be leaky seals in the valve block....overhaul it for about £35....the lean should self level when the door is closed....else you need to recalibrate the ride height

Second - the Vogue 50's are/were part of the 'Collectors Edition - only 100 made' released in 1998, all painted a micatallic blue with Proline(?) alloys....you should also have the brass plaque too (I suppose it is too much to ask if you still have the matching luggage..??)....for fecks sake don't wreck it....maintain it or as already suggested pass it on to some one else to look after...

If it is set up correctly it should inflate the OS when you get in to level and overcome your fatness. Slow rising from cold would indicate a pressure side leak.

Thanks for the guidance, it has the brass plaque - no67. No luggage with it thou. But more annoying is the remote for the TV and headphones has gone too, but the video player and screens work a treat. Will start with these suggestions
