Well this post will go one of two ways -

1) I have just been a complete muppet on eBay and bid on something, that is a waste of money and can downloaded for free ( which I think I have)

2) I have discovered a bargain and will now get out bid :)

Here goes, item no. - 230919864915

What's the verdict?

I thought that might be the case, let's hope I get outbid!
Mental note to self, don't go on eBay after a few beers :)

Yeah, Thats how I ended up with a P38 in the first place.
Turned out a fair buy though for a drunken unseen Ebay purchase.
:D:D:D

I've got an Asus EEE PC (7" jobby) with EAS cable and EAS software and car charger you can have for £40. Great to keep in the back of the car "just in case". I can stick Rave on it too if it helps :)

I use a 10" Note Book in mine, I have the All Comms loaded as well as RAVE...although I find the screen a bit small to read RAVE Electrical schematics on clearly!

Mods! Mods!
Naughty Nick is selling stuff on here.
He needs spanking

Don't forget to put the photos on the 'Oi Poppy' thread.
:D

Would be funny if its got T4 loaded and it comes with a load of OBD leads :p

O.K. I admit it - I checked.
Nope, it doesn't even come with a power supply never mind any other leads. I think that you can safely assume that it's an old laptop with Rave loaded.

Phew, I was sweating for a moment there. :D

The guy knows what he's selling, he's just hopeing someone doesn't know what they are buying.....

Just out of interest, how many tools do you carry in the back?! Or have you go some sort of James Bond style Swiss Army briefcase?

;)

I carry:

  • Notebook with All Comms and RAVE
  • Tape Measure - for on the fly EAS Calibrations
  • Multimeter with various probes and a Temperature Probe
  • Long Breaking Bar with a socket to suit the Wheel Nuts
  • Small 3/8" Drive Socket set
  • Torx Set
  • A couple of screw drivers
  • Torch
  • Gloves
  • Hi-Vis vest
  • Spare Fuses
  • Long Nose Pliers
  • Few lengths of wiring cable
Would be handy if it was all on a James Bond Style item, but it all fits in a cloth tool bag strapped to the side (apart from the Notebook and All Comms lead which sits in a small Camera Flight Case).

And at home in the Garage I have my tool chest, various fluids and greases, sprays, odd items like spare relays, the precision tool kit of No5 C&H mallet, Angle Grinder with various discs, 14lb sledge hammer, a pair of '93 Classic Plastic sill covers, and old door handle from a '86 mini....you know the sort of thing that 'Might come in handy one day....'

I was thinking the other day, that I would like to get another Classic Mini to tinker with...(Girlfriend has had a couple and loves them, but due to work distances the Mini wasn't practical so we got a Beetle and now the Fiat 500 for her)....but my L322 is keeping busy enough at the moment!!

Looking at your in car toolkit Saint, I would take it one step further by adding a couple of items ....

1 x Car trailer and 1 x aforementioned mini.

How poor is it that you have to drive around with a full tool kit and laptop - just in case!

I go out boating with less than that! :)

How much for the door handle?
Handle is bust and was binned (as I found it looking for Gastite Sealant compound) Sorry....wanna pair of Plastic external Sill Covers for a '93 Classic?? Still got them....
