Thanks for the feedback.
Cheers for the offer Nick, I'll pass at the moment, I think I will wait and just buy the whole shooting match, any ideas on the best diagnostic tool for sensible money? Nanocom or hawk eye??

Thanks datatek.
Just been having a look, I have a habit of changing my cars very frequently! I'm guessing due to this, I would be better getting Nanocom evolution, with all p38 unlocks wouldn't I ? And am I right in saying it is not locked to vin, so could be used on any p38 I buy?
Cheers,
Jack

Yep Nanocom is not VIN locked - but you will have to unlock it for the different engine types...GEMS, THOR, BOSCH Diesel...

You can buy it for one engine then add others as/if you need them. The engine codes are about £50 each.
If you want to go beyond P38s then you have to buy the appropriate code and a different connection lead and they are a bit pricey.

I think (not sure) the Hawkeye doesn't do as much but might do all Land Rover models? Don't think it has seperate modules for each one?

So, depending what you want the Hawkeye might be a better bet if you're changing models all the time?

Thought Hawkeye was VIN locked:confused:

Might be. Never played with a Hawkeye. Think Tufty has one so he might know.

If he was sticking with P38s I'd say Nanocom everytime but if he's fiddling with Discos, Freelanders etc etc then it could get expensive.

Said he sold second-hand cars, remember?! Pretty certain it was him, anyway.

Faultmate will cover all of those if you pay for the software, expensive though.
