I think, and may be wrong, KA is the last of the 200tdi defenders and LA onwards is 300tdi mine is MA and is late 94. Or check your log book. I think WA is the last of the Tdi

Mine is WA and is one of the very very last Tdis
 
Rimmer Bros website has a chart on the model years for the vin number, can't link it on phone though.

cheers! so now im going to repaint the chassis and dentirol it! whats the best approach, do it in situ or can the body of the car be lifted off chassis whole so you can do top of chassis rail?

oh and i knew it was a lift jack and tool kit! just its never been used!:p

If you've got the time and space, body off allows you to give it a really good wire brushing and find any problems

If not, you can get to most of the top rails anyway on a 90 by removing the under seat metal cover thingys
 
Sounds like your heater is on at full belt push the lever at the left hand side up to the top!
