Can anyone help me please my freelander 2 passenger door has locked I can't open with fob,key, dash or handle window still opens ok but can't sort problem with door locked

Try unlocking from the inside while pushing on the door and using the fob unlock at the same time.

I remember seeing others some time ago pressing the fob unlock multiple times which they believe puts the car into a special unlock mode. See link below:

If you can get in via the window and pop your bonnet open, you may be able to unlock the door by disconnecting the battery and whilst pressing the unlock button, connect the battery back up again. Don't try it too often though cus the ECU don't like it.

Wjhy doesnt he just get in via the drivers side door? its just the passenger door by the sounds of it.

Hi guys thanks for the advice but still not opening it sounds like door locking device working but latch possibly not moving lever on door also only moves with handle. I don't really want to take seat out to get to door but running out of ideas. My son has to to to GOSH in 2 weeks so need to sort it by then

Can't get to screws in door to be able to take trim off

The base of the FL2 rear passenger seats folds up, separate from the back support bit. Does that give you more access to get the plastic panel oft the door?

It is the front passenger door that is the problem son shut it probably a bit too hard the day before one of the screws is by the seat

Hi @garyjames how did you get out of the door locked pickel ? I’m in a similar boat

Managed to pull the door card apart so could get inside it , took the window glass out then after a few hours managed to pull on the long cable (had been repeatedly doing that) and hey presto the door finally opened , so now to fix the door motor or more likely the outside door pull cable had come free as it wasn’t in its seat
