A lot of people only extend the rears, seen loads at P{ay 'n Plays. Personally I like a 'balanced' system and wouldn't do rear without front .. or at least a plan to do the fronts 'sooooon' ... ;)

By the way, in the bottom picture you can see my heavily modified tow bar. I cut about 50mm out of the middle of it and welded it back together, I also moved the two pieces of angle higher up - it doesn't catch the floor as much and is still there to help to protect the fuel tank.

Is 2 inches the max yu can remove without it fouling?

Without it fouling what? I just hacked a lump out of it to get it more or less level with the fuel tank. I'd've got rid of it altogether but a mate advised me to leave it as it helps to protect the tank so I've got the best of both worlds.

fouling anything...... particularly the fool tank....
I want to do the same to mine - just wondering hoe much I can cut out of it?

If yours is the same as mine, just take enough out to make it look the same. Pretty sure it was about 40-50mm. I took it out the middle so two cuts but it meant I could keep it looking like it's meant to be that way. I'm sure you could cut an extra 10-15mm off if you want, I also know if I wanted to pull a trailer I'd probably need a dropper plate......

mine aint gonna be used to tow - except maybe summat stuck - tiz gonna be used to tow me out more like ;).
