hi folks can anyone help how do you keep woodruff key in crankshaft when trying to put pulley on , mine keeps pushing out lightweight s3 double pulley

i have this problem with something verry similar i was told by a verry old engineer that cleaning the groove in the shaft with nail varnish remover and the woodruff key then use a little bit of superglue in the groove to hold the bugger still temporary does the trick

i have tried it and it was a lot easier than fiddling around with it for hours on end

its just a matter of getting key level as possible but just down enough at front for pulley to go over

I put a blob of grease in the slot in the crank and then push the woodruff key into it to help hold it in place, works a treat for me.
