Hi All,
Looking to get any info / thoughts etc. if available.
This morning it smelt like hot coolant from my D2 TD5, when I checked it after work I have a low level of coolant. I could not see any obvious leaks in the engine bay. had to add enough coolant raise the coolant level about 1 inch.
After the 3 mile drive home, the coolant level had not dropped by any significant amount, but I could see coolant on the under engine crossmember very slowly dripping.
So, has does anyone know of any areas that "normally" fail around the rear of the engine bay? ( pipework?, heater connections? unions?) I am going to have a look on the weekend when I can get it on ramps in the daylight to see if there are any obvious pipes leaking etc. But are there any "hidden" areas where these leaks arise I should be wary of?
Cheers
