last night i put my foot on the clutch and it hit the floor with no effect so today i made enquiries to be told that the fork that pulls the realease bearing has broken . Has anybody else had this problem?

it wont be fork but 2 x spiral roll pin securing fork to cross shaft, dont use ordinary roll pin as they wont be strong enough

I had a similar situation on my disco 1. The push rod went straight through the clutch fork. Apparently quite common.

mine snapped on my way to france at xmas. had to drop gearbox to get to them, parts cost me £1.56 and a days labour, what a nightmare...

took gearbox off today you were correct the roll pins were broken so hopefully i will be back on the road soon thank you for your replys

i dropped the box in my friends garage he has pit and he has brackets made to bolt onto transfer box and gearbox so they roll on the gearbox jack i put everything back and driving in 2hrs 30 min good workshop is worth anything
