There is a horrible clunking noise coming from the rear right door when I open it it's coming from the metal hinge half way up the door it's the second time this has happened so I took it back to the dealer but it's done it again . I'm not
Going all the way back there as it's a good 1 hour drive
And was just wondering if I could do it ? Any help would
Be helpful ... Thanks

Has the door stay come loose inside the door?

(...please don't ask what the door stay is...)

What is a door stay?... (Joking)!! Yes that whole part is loose is it a case of getting a new hinge?

The pillar side is held in place by 2 bolts which are got to by removing the pillar trim which have known to come loose before.

If the door stay is loose, tightes the screws up...

the door stay needs some grease on it, when you do a service always smear a bit of grease on each door stay.
