well after working all day yesterday in the sunshine, (fookin hot) today was 'jobs for disco day' got my new shocks out ready to fit, so up in the air she went, wheels off old rear shocks off, a good wire brush'n on rear 1/4 0f chassis, blow off with air as it was all fairly clean and dry, out with the shultz gun, gave it all a good coat, inside chassis especially! put rear shocks on, back onto its wheels, then to the front wheel off pass side, shock turret lip rotten, so need new 1 of them drivers side ok, so didn't do that until i have the parts,
next change steering wheel, as it looks like a dog has eaten it, cudn't get air bag off! one of the torx head was that tight it has been stripped, guess somebody has already had a go?
then pass door window mech, small roller in pieces, so 3 jobs not done:Cry:

so the question is: how do i get the steering wheel off? make air bag go off? then get to it from the top?

new turret and a window regulator,

all good fun with a land rover!!:D

Didn't get a chance to do anything today :( had to clean out a 200L fish tank and it took ages!

Will get on it later in the week as I'm picking up a new skinny rad tomorrow :D

By strap I mean like a ratchet or something like how the fire brigade do it incase of it blowing

i dont fancy being smacked in the chops by the air bag going off, will have a go to see if i can get a screw driver to fit in the torx head, as to roller on window mech, have to buy all the unit, £16.00

If you disconnect the battery and then wait for ten mins to let the residual charge leave trhe system then the airbag is inert.
