Well, it's *supposed* to be a better lubricant and a cleaner fuel. So in theory at least, the engine should last longer.

Anyway, yes, a cetane enhancer is what I'm looking for. Although I'm not looking that hard since although it is less efficient, it is also cheaper! :)

Nik

that is what it does, I use it here on pump diesel, ours is 10- 20% veg and 80-90% diesel, depends where you buy. Works great on complaints. Use it mostly in winter 5-6 months for easier starts.

Our veggie oil is close to twice what you guys are even with the exchange rate

Not quite true that Nik, yes the burn is cleaner, but the same ****e comes out of the exhaust along with a whiff of chippy lol

Engines running on fat can get clogged injectors, piston gumming and pump fatigue. I have had to replace the seals in my FIP but this was leaking when I bought the car so not directly caused by running on Veg oil. During the winter down to -14!! I always add in petrol at a ratio of 2 litres per 20 litre of veg oil min and MAX 4 litres petrol per 20 litre veg oil
