Nah that's about right on ere. Tis the rule that yu gotta have at least 65% **** taking and 30% Bull**** before yu get the answer you really need. :rolleyes:

yup, have to agree there. I did a london to notts run not so long ago at 70mph (yes my ears did hurt after) and got around 30+mpg

And no bob i didnt strip my input shaft...........
 
I hate to throw a spanner in the works , but when you use a TD flywheel housing on a 200 it doesnt bolt to the ladder frame ( no holes in the TD housing ) surely thats extra stress ( and oil leakage from the back of the block ) .

so in all drilling and tapping the 200 to fit the TD box is a better job ?

it does create alot of extra stress and its only a matter of time.........:eek:
 
Well it's lucky I'm not. I'm using the original 200 tdI flywheel housing. Then I'm going to drill four new holes in the bottom of the defender lt77 gearbox bell housing so it fits. Does every one get the jist or is there some one else who has another marvellous comment or opinion that just has to be added :)

you carry on there mate, your doing the right thing

i assume you've replaced the clutch/release bearing/arm etc with new quality parts ?
