hi ther new to this site. i've got a 1996 4.6 p38. i will only change gear when it hits 4500 rev's or if i put into low box it'll change no probs. i;ve changed the gearbox oil but still no good. any help please.....

did you check oil stationary cold and with engine running?

It might be the autobox govenor , just changed it on my classic and it fixed a similar prob, cost me £350 mind you!

hi there i put the button on the other day and then switched it off. the light went off but seems to be stuck in that range. is there any way to reset the gearbox back to normal. thanks for any help
oil seems fine changed the oil but not the filter

you should have changed the filter as well,if you change your engine oil you would normally change the filter wouldn't you.
