Is it an easy job to do? I don't mean the whole hub assembly as a dealer will try and sell you, i mean just renewing the bearing itself. :scratching_chin:

Yes, replaced both front bearings a few months ago. Do you have access to a 30ton hydraulic press?
I have all the mandrels etc. to press out and press in the new bearings.
Send me a PM if you are interested as I will be coming over to Walsall in the next couple of months. I could post them over, but due to the weight, it will cost a few bob.
I did a post on here just after I did them if you want to do a search.

ya can fit mine when ya come over again john lol wink wink :D

If you know where there's a press available and the hubs are off,no problem- it takes no longer than 10mins per hub to get the old ones out and the new ones in. Ball breaking part is getting the hub off the swivel as the rust has them nigh on welded on-removal is no brain surgery and not for the purists or feint hearted!!!
Pays to replace the axle halfshaft oil seals at the same time. lol

As luck would have it my local mechanic lets me use his workshop and tools so i do have access to a press and tools required, doesn't look too hard a job so might give it a go in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the offer though John, appreciate it.:clap2:

Suggest you buy the new bearing(s) first to give you an idea of the mandrel sizes. If you have problems, send me a PM and I will see what I can do about getting them over.

Cheers Matey, it'll be a couple of weeks so i'll let you know either way. ;)

Ant,
I'll go into the workshop tomorrow morning and let you know the dimensions of the mandrel etc. for doing the job, then you can check what is available your end.
I will also find out a sheet that I sent to Range Rovers relating to my experience of replacing the bearings (It hasn't been put on there yet) and a few tips. I can PM you and send it on.
