Hi there,

Last Wednesday on the outward leg of a 200 mile+ trip I stared to notice a hell of a scaping sound from the front right hand wheel. When we got to our location a mate who knows Landies said it looked like one of the pads was lose and not in it's right postion.

So, on the Thursday we had some new break pads put onto the front end of our RR.

Now all seemed sweet even on the 200 mile+ trip back home, but, today on a trip (only 70 miles) when I hit the breaks the RR started to shake and shuder like hell, I couldn't beleive it. It has never done this before so I thought it might have something to do with the road surface, but it didn't. I tried breaking hard a few times on different surfaces and the same thing happened agian and again. A few times it realy felt as if the RR was going to loose it alltogether. After taking a good eyeball under-neath and not seeing anything out of place I became rather miffed.

Gentle breaking is ok but not like it was before either.

There is also a very slight vibration after 80Kph!

Anybody got any ideas what could be the cause and how to go about putting it right???

Hi Bife Check Your Brake Discs If You Have Vented Discs They May Have Corroded And Colapsed In The Middle Thus When Braking Heavy You Get Shuddering

Hi bife, you may have warped discs there(bit like my sense of humour..) new ones may be the answer.mucky`un.

Hi there,

Thanks for the replies. This is just to say that the prob has ended. It was the disks. They were rather badly scored and one had a very slight kink in it. All sorted now though.
