I need to replace the n/s/f outer wing section and repair the top and headlamp sections. How easy or hard is it to do in situe as I will need to straighten the other bits with a slide hammer and this will be easier with it still bolted to the motor.

Far from it, might cut the old one off, hopefully get to the bolts easier
The bolts aren't that difficult. You'll need an extension bar and a half on the socket and probably a UV joint. And a torch :rolleyes:
 
I did one side with in in place, took ages and ended up cutting the old one to pieces. For the other side i just took the wing off, much easier!!

But yeah you do need an extension bar and some patients

Fitted a complete new wing in the end, managed to pick up a genuine Land Rover top section for peanuts so right result there. Wasn't too bad a job to do in the end just a bit fiddly
