Dunno much about fuel pumps so wondering if you could shed some light..?
My mate has turned up the pump on my 96 300tdi but i cant remember which way he did it! Like the extra go but MOTs lurking and could do with losing some of the smoke!
It was a long screw on the back side of the pump with a 13mm locking nut on it- do i just slacken the locknut and turn screw clockwise a bit?
have searched on here bout adjusting fuel pump but they all refer to taking th top off - my mate just adjusted the screw on side? Also- does this do any damage to the engine? Any help would be much appreciated!

Good link but I think that has left me confused as its too in-depth and I have already done this mod, so Christ knows what someone doing it for the first time would think.. I followed a similar but more simple guide to adjusting the pump and have had no issues other than mores smoke on cold mornings on start up and the odd full force acceleration. but damn it goes well after it. :0)

Can you post a link to the one you used?
