Just bought a 300TDI driving home the clutch pedal went to the floor I managed to flick it back up and got going again..Got it home and found out its got a leak on the clutch damper..Question is the thread on the end of the pipe from the master cylinder going into the damper the same as the one going into the slave cylinder..thinking of bypassing the damper as a quick fix..Also the gearbox changes gears OK no crunching etc But it does have a high pitched whine in 5th gear not loud but it is there ..Is it omnious or just wanting new oil ..TIA

yes the thread is the same as i have just done this to my brothers 300 tdi.you dont need the damper anyway so everything should be fine

Just gone out to bypass it and the pipe going down to the damper looks like it has a female fitting on it ,The pipe going into the slave is a male when you did yours did you join these two together?rgds don

The pipe that comes from the master should just screw straight into the slave as this is all that we did on my brothers.

yes done it, but now no pedal at all tried bleeding but not pushing enough through..left bleed nipple open for a few hours see if it would self bleed but no again ..Master cylinder??If so wheres the cheapest place to order one ?mate said there are two different ones for my year
