Hi. i have just bought a 200tdi off fleabay
engine number 12E *********
any one know what age or series of build this is?
how can i check it?

I though the 200 engines started with the number 11 and the 300 the number 12?
What type of alt belt has it got the v or the flat type.
Should also be a date cast into the cyl head by injector 4

hi
found it, It is a 12 L which is a discovery. it came with no starter, pipes or exhaust flange. i didn't read the advert cleverly enough. it didn't say there were any bits there other than what was there.
no engine mounts and rubbers. so not such a good purchase. Boll0*ks!
