Hi All

Im relatively new to here, however have had loads of landrovers over the years. I have just bought an 'L' 1994 S1 200tdi Disco for some off roading, on the whole its very sound, however Ive come a cross a problem with the brakes.

The padal is good and hard, with excellent efficiency when not running and pumps up ok. When the engine is started the pedal will operate fine for the 1st 2 occasions then fades away. It happens more quickly when revved up.

Has anyone came across this issue before? It has new calipers and master cylinder. The brakes are all correctly bled. It seems like a servo or vacuum problem, but I cant see any issues with either of them. All the vacuum pipes are connected and complete, Ive already swapped the servo from my classic RR onto it, but still the same.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

Chester

Try cheking the vacume pipe into the servo, with the engin running put your finger over the end to chek.

Hi Thanks, did that. Vacuum pipe almost sucks yer finger off,

Whats it supposed to do?

Cheers Chester

Check yer brake hoses and slave cylinder one anaw for any crackin' or leaks. Might be an idea to change the slave cylinder if everything else is fine.
