new to this part of the forum normally in the series bit and i donno how much a discovery is worth or much about them but im thinking of stiking a 200tdi in my series 3 what do you think a good price for a secondhand engine is or would you buy a complete vehicle n strip it down thanks were would you look for one
 
get the compleat car that way you get thr engine the wiring loom the radiator and intercooler all of the water and intercooler pipes and the steering box (dont no if this can be fited to give power steering) a front and rear axle (dont no if the rear could be fited for disk brakes)

thats what i did when i had my 90 and the disco had a near new set of BFG AT tyres on aloy wheel payed £600 (3years ago) and fitting the 200 engine was the best mod i did i fitted the transfer box to give better gearing you can make a down pipe like i did or get one off steve parker but over £100 there is/was some cheper copies on ebay
 
money is the major thing in this as i everythin is done on a student budget but getting ready 2 run the 2.25 petrol is very exspensive even wiv petrol prices how they are
 
its wt im looking for but its a 400mile round trip probly wait abit longer till i got the rest finished then invest in one abit later
