Hi all, I've got the Gearbox Overheat message flashing up on the dash even when the gearbox is cold. The connection from the temperature switch on the gearbox cooler is fine. Has anyone got a few spare minutes to disconnect their plug and tell me what the resistance is so I can compare with mine. The temp switch is the best part of £50 so don't want to change it unless it's definitley faulty. The connector is blue and on the passenger side of the main radiator next to the power steering tank.

you could try with a multi meter, see what the readings are cold and hot, they should differ significantly. its prolly just the connection tho, try cleaning it and pull it on and off a few times!

Thanks for your reply Gav, forgot to mention that if I part the connector it still says Gearbox Overheat. As it's a 'temperature switch' could a relay be stuck on? I've written the resistances down on the rad so will post them here later to see if they sound correct.

Cheers Datatek, I'll get a reading from the meter when I get home tomorrow, I live at the end of a steep up-hill forest dirt track so the gearbox fluid will be nice and hot!
