Freelander 1 TD4

Thank you very much everyone found where it goes. I've had 2 L-Series Freelanders and know that motor inside out, first TD4 though.

What should we pay attention to when removing the MAP sensor? Do we need to pull the wire shown in the picture upward? Most importantly, what should we use to clean it, and should we squeeze it into the hole?

You press the spring clip to remove the plug from the MAP sensor, wipe it clean with a rag only sprayed with brake cleaner on the rag only, do not poke or spray anything into the hole of the MAP sensor.

They can be removed from the side of the manifold while it is in situ but it's a fiddly job, seeing that the MAP sensor would need cleaning the so would the manifold so it's best to remove that along with the EGR .

Thank you for your valuable information. I have a few questions about the manifold process. My manifold bolts are very tight. I want to try lubricating them with WD-40 a day in advance and then removing them when the engine is cold. However, one of the eight upper bolts on the manifold is already stripped. What can I do about this?
