Hi ever one not been on for quite awhile I’m getting a bit older but still got my old 2005 RR v8 still on road
don’t drive it much now but as usual has to have mot my last mot couple of advises of front brake flexes and ace boot
decided to get down to it whilst it’s warm. Anyway less of the chit chat and down to business, done brake hoses
and as per manual want to remove drive shaft from hub followed manual to the letter got puller as referred to in
manual and pros seeded to attempt to pull off slimes ,that’s as far as I got it will not slide off the splines.
Right I have now removed full hub and it on the bench , with hub spline facing upwards sprayed with penetrating fluid and left over night put puller back on and st won’t slide off, can I put it in a press or will I do it damage ? According to the instructions should just push the cv joint out of hub , has any body done this and had same problem thanks in anticipation

When i pulled my front hub off the shaft, i just wound the puller and bashed it with a big hammer until it came off. I was quite brutal with the puller

Thank you for replies will get my son to swing hammer, but as I have always been as gentle as possible
with my RR I felt it would pay me back for abusing it,I have had from 3000 miles with only silly things going wrong 🥹people say I’m lucky

The hub goes on dry so the slightest rust will bind tight.
In comparison the new one slid in to the hub with no resistance
