Hi everyone,

Could anyone advise if the door on the freelander 2 is left open should there be a light coming on the dashboard and a sound heard? As is the norm on most cars. I don’t seem to be hearing any sounds if left ajar or any lights showing up either

I only hear a sound if the key is left in. The lights on the bottom of the door/mirror would be on.

I meant when the key is removed but the door not fully closed it’s not giving no indication that the door has been left open

The interior lights will be on, what else do you need?
Lots of cars have a door open light, and a warning sound if you start driving with a door open, but many don't.

Who wants to hear those stupid annoying chimes and bongs anyway, except our litigating American friends.

Does your house door make a noise if its open? no it doesn't, yet we don't leave them open do we.

It sounds normal to me. If you try to lock the door with it open it will beep the horn at you.
