No problem Mark, V nasty at a time when I could have done without it. Just because I didn't agree with her point of view. Ignored now.:D

Understood. Is similar as to what I’m thinking of on common rail.
I’ll stop bothering everyone until I get it home and can take a better look.
I’ll try and have another read through Rave info in the meantime.
I can't see any similarity with common rail and you are not bothering us in any way.
As Wammers said, the stop solenoid can fail.
A quarter tank with a failed lift pump especially if it is one with a non return valve fitted can stop the engine, dropping the filter and doing a fuel flow test is quick and easy.

+1 FIP is dodgy.
You can try changing seals if it’s leaking, perhaps setting static, keeping it over quarter tank is enough to keep mine running but I didn’t have the injector light.

if you have a powerbox fitted - disconnect it

If QS is knackered refurb FIP is only solution. 800notes.

A well looked after diesel will give far less problems than a well looked after V8. Plus a neglected V8 will fail a lot sooner than a neglected diesel. So it's win, win for the diesel engine. :D:D

Unless you have to go into London next year.

Born and bred loved growing up there, lived in the west, and SE5,
just outside it now, but yea its a pile of crap now wouldn't go back
