I completely removed the entire EGR system on my D2 a couple of years ago and am pleased to say it passed its MOT last week without issue.

To be fair. Nox emissions are not tested for as part of the MoT. Which are the emissions EGR address.I tend to think that if the vehicle passes the emissions tests, the MoT tester won't be inclined to go looking for any problems in the system.
Of course it'll pass, it'll also pass without the CAT.
Are you aware of the new MOT regs for 2018?

I don't want to argue about it, but according to someone I know a Discovery 2 is old enough to not qualify under what ever new regs they have. Don't quote me but I think he said it's from 2006 cars onwards...
Again I haven't read them, just what the MOT tester said to me.
