some years ago I worked with a guy that passed his test late in life and you could wright a book about his car repairs, after passing his test he bought a morris marina after having it some weeks he said it is a good car but a pig to top the oil up, he was trying to get it down the dip stick. His starter motor packed up so he went to the motor factors and they explained that the motor was on an exchange and he had to bring the old one in, when he went back to the shop the guy then explained he must take back the alternator refit that then bring down the starter motor. He then some time later said he had a blue oil light come on on the dash of the car but it only came on at night,

I read that earlier , was thiinking the same.....but then thought it would shirley depend what size brush he used to paint it with......

Shame. Another classic not getting the care it deserves!
is heartbreaking sometimes seeing a nice classic being ruined
it’s only taken me months to sort out all the bodges on mine , worse few where multi-plugs on some main looms were superglued together , cable ties on brake lines
think we’ve all been there when we buy a new motor and end up spending more time sorting bodges out than doing the actual job

Some chap painted his defender Keswick green with a brush and done a reet good job, mind you the pics weren’t HD

I once painted our ****ty Land Rover at work by brush n rolla, when the motor pool found out they took it back and gave us another ****ty one
