I've been experiencing issues with the rear wiper motor on my 300tdi, so much so that I thought the bugger was broken. Now I'm not so sure.
What I found was that when I activated the wipers the fuse would blow. Assuming that there was a short or an open circuit, I disconnected the three wires one at time and creating a new tourch type circuit and the bulb lit up every time without blowing the fuse. Afterwards I re connected the plug in to the back of the motor and immediately the fuse would blow. What the hell is going on.?!
I've removed the motor from the car to inspect and all appears as it should. Can someone please advise me what I'm looking for, or suggest a way to bench test motor. Thanks
