Having spent the weekend stripping out the front cab of the old scaby carpets ect I have noticed a wiring noise coming what sounds like the gear box / transfer box area

Should I be worried

It had me worried and confused.
I take it you mean whirring ;)
 
ok no probs,have you checked the oil level in the g/box/trans box yet,does this noise go away when you press the clutch peddle down??

+1 on that. I had a whirring noise I ignored for a while until it got loud. Not a drop of oil in the transfer box and ended up having to replace it. Best check ASAP :)

Yes, I was worried for a short while... crackles, sparks?!!!

wiring noises rarely last long before there is a nice warming fire... :boom:
 
It does get loader the faster you go
had a quick look this morning and it looks like someone has removed the cover from the end of the transfer box where the oil feed plate would be fitter.

best get it checked out i guess, will get some pics on
