I've just spent an hour searching here for how to replace the lift pump on a DSE 2001, and there are lots of references to a thread about it including a template of where to cut the floor, I'm buggered if I can find that thread.

Its a proper barstuard to undo the tank bolts as there unlikly to have been moved since built
The drive train isnt in the way no
Just bear in mind the weight of the tank will depend on how much fuel is in it
Flaring tool, can be bought quite cheaply just follow the instructions. Small hacksaw or pipe cutter, fine file to square the end of the pipe if you use a hacksaw.I've never made brake pipe.. what tools are required?
